How do I create an itemized set?

Answer

Itemized sets are static and will not change, unlike logical sets where the members can change based on the set criteria.

To create an itemized set, go to Admin > Manage Jobs and Sets > Manage Sets

  • Click Create Itemized Set
  • A Set Details page will open
  • Enter information
    • Set name is mandatory and cannot contain special characters
    • Other fields are optional. Set content type has most of the same options as a repository search
  • Choose how to Add Items to set, either
    • From search
      • After naming the set, choose Create
      • Perform a repository search
      • Click Add All if you want to all the records added to the set, or click on the boxes next to the records you want to add to the set and click Add Selected
      • A confirmation box will appear and the set will be added to the Manage Set list under the My Sets scope
    • From file
      • ​​​​​​​After naming the set, choose From file and Upload file
      • The file will load in the box below, then choose Create
      • A message will appear that an Add Members job has been generated
      • Once the job has completed, the new set can be found on the Manage Set list under the My Sets scope
    • From analytics
      • ​​​​​​​After naming the set, choose From analytics and select the location of the report
      • Choose Create
      • A message will appear that an Add Members job has been generated
      • Once the job has completed, the new set can be found on the Manage Set list under the My Sets scope
