When you activate a collection in Alma, you get the option to suppress the Bib record, but migrated electronic collections came in with the top level (the name of the collection) bib record unsuppressed. This means that if someone does a search for something like CINAHL in Primo, they'll get a bib record for that collection. The problem with this is that the URLs at the collection level are often not set up to work locally, and they may fail for the patron. It's better to hide this top level bib record and instead set up your databases in the Resource Recommender so that you can control the linking.

Here's how to hide the top level bib record from display in Primo:

• Search for the electronic collection by name in your IZ:

• Click on the three dots to the top right of the record and choose "Descriptive Record." This will open the bib record for the collection. If you see "suppress from publishing = No" then you'll need to click on the edit button to edit the record (if you can't do this, you may need to add a cataloger role to your account):

• Once you're in the MD Editor, click on Tools, Set Management Tags, and click the checkbox for Suppress from Discovery:

• You can also choose to not publish this bib to OCLC. These toggle actions are enough to save your changes.

The bib suppression may not happen instantly. It may take a couple of days for the indexing to catch up with your changes.
