How long should things like activating e-collections, making changes to the Primo VE interface, indexing, etc. take to fully show up in the system?

Answer

See the attached PDF for information about how long it should take for actions to got into effect in Primo VE.

In general:

  • Alma records: adding or deleting a title or collection should take 10-30 minutes for the Alma Bib Record to either appear or disappear in Primo
  • Availability: should take 48-72 hours to update
  • CDI Search records (articles, eBooks, chapters, etc.): should take 48-72 hours to appear or disappear from the full-text or expanded search.

Configuration changes to Primo in terms of editing facets, changing content in the Labels code tables, editing the configuration package, etc., should all go into effect right away. If you don't see your changes, make sure that you saved whatever action you performed and also check a different browser or clear your original browser's cache.
