How do I unlink a bib record from the NZ?

Answer

The "Copy to Catalog" function in the MD Editor will unlink a bib record from the NZ and make it an IZ record only. The IZ only record can be retained or deleted after unlinking it from the NZ.

To unlink a bib record from the NZ:

Open the bib record in the MD Editor
Click Record Actions>Copy To Catalog
- Copy to Catalog changes the MMS ID from an NZ MMS ID (ending in 4801) to the institution's IZ MMS ID
Click Save>Save and Release Record (Ctrl+Alt+R) or Record Actions>Delete Record
