How does “Did you mean” or "Did you intend to search for" work, where does it come from, and can you disable it?

Answer

Sometimes when searching in Primo VE, you'll get a "did you intend to search for" message below your search box:

did you mean

"Did you mean" suggestions will appear when there are less than 50 results in the set. The suggestions are generated using the Build Ranking Structures job enabled in the network zone and is based on searches performed. This job runs on the 28th of each month, so there should be improvement in the suggestions as more searches are done and each time the job is run.

There is currently no way to deactivate this feature in Primo VE.
