How do I make changes to the OCLC Record in Connexion?

Workflows on how to handle changes to OCLC Records in Connexion:
1. Workflow to make changes to non-PCC or non-DLC OCLC bib records in Connexion:
- Login to OCLC Connexion Client or Web Client
- Open the OCLC master record
- Click Action>Lock Master Record
- Make the changes to the OCLC master record
- Please note that local Fields are added in Alma's MD Editor
- Click Action>Replace Record (Connexion Client) or Action>Save Record (Web Client)
- Export the Record into the NZ to update the NZ bib record
- Or wait and the OCLC nightly job will update the record after 12:00 pm the following day
NOTE: If you do not have OCLC permissions to edit OCLC records, contact SUNY Library Services.
2. Workflow to report changes that need to be made to PCC or DLC OCLC bib records:
- Login to OCLC Connexion Client or Web Client
- Open the OCLC master record
- Identify that the record is a DLC or PCC record
- 040 $a DLC
- 042 $a PCC
- Click on Action>Report Record to report the changes that need to be made to the master record
- Give clear instructions on the changes that need to be made to the OCLC master record.
- OCLC will send an email once the changes have been made to the OCLC master record
