How do I add the tasks widget to the main Alma page, and how do I use it?

Answer

The tasks widget provides an easy and convenient way to monitor the tasks you need to complete.  The specific tasks that are displayed in the widget will depend upon your user roles.  This must be done separately for each staff member, and all staff have the ability to add the tasks widget to their main Alma page.

 

Adding the Tasks Widget to the Main Alma Page

1. Go to the main Alma page and click the Manage Widgets button in the upper right corner.  The Manage Widgets window will open.

2. Check the box next to Tasks and then close the Manage Widgets window.  The tasks widget will appear on the main Alma page.

3. To move the widget, click on it and drag it to whatever position on the main Alma page you feel is best.

 

Using the Tasks Widget

1. Your tasks will be divided into general categories (borrowing requests, lending requests, reading lists, etc.).  The number of tasks that need to be completed will be listed next to the category.  To view the tasks lists within a category, click the category name.  Once the task list has expanded, you can click on a specific task to be taken to that task list.
