How do I turn off lending in ILLiad/OCLC?

Answer

ILLiad/OCLC lending must be turned off in the OCLC Policies Directory. You can access the OCLC Policies Directory through the Policies Directory button in ILLiad's System tab, or you can log in to the OCLC Policies Directory here:

https://illpolicies.oclc.org/dill-ui/SignIn.do

If you want to turn off all lending, you can switch your OCLC Supplier status to No indefinitely or switch your OCLC supplier to No for a specific period of time. If you want to turn off just lending of physical items, you can create a Deflection Policy for loan requests.

Note: OCLC does not allow you to enter specific times for closures.  If you configure a closure to start on a specific date, your lending will be turned off at 12:00am on that date.

Switching your OCLC Supplier Status to No Indefinitely

1. Click the Edit link next to your OCLC Supplier Status.

2. Change the OCLC Supplier setting from Yes to No, and then click the Save button (you may need to scroll down to see it).

3. Once you're ready to start lending again, switch your OCLC Supplier Status back to Yes.
